About Us – Smoke Junkie Rubs

Thank you for visiting Smoke Junkie Rubs!! I want to let you know right off the bat, I’m no imposter, I was a Firefighter/Paramedic for 20 years in a busy district just North of Denver. In all those years, there weren’t too many shifts I didn’t cook for my entire crew. My passion for cooking led me to competition BBQ, after I retired,  where I competed in local and Kansas City BBQ Association competitions for a few years, always creating my own rubs and recipes. I hope you enjoy all my recipes, from a real firehouse cook!
